Banda Tevet – Offshore Mauritania

  • Go Gas Holding is the sole developer of Mauritania’s Banda & Tevet gas field and is seeking financing to support its development and construction (“Project Banda”).
  • The Company was awarded the Banda & Tevet License in April 2024, after the Government of Mauritaniawelcomed a joint proposal with downstream partners, TAQA Arabia and Rosetta Energy, to develop Banda & Tevet as an Integrated Gas Project for domestic use.
  • Discovered in 2002, the Banda gas field was first declared commercial in 2012 by Tullow Oil, and its development timeline is substantially reduced due to the work done by Tullow between 2012 and 2014.
  • The existing subsurface, wells, and facilities work was updated in cooperation with industry-leading consultancy firms, and the Front-End Engineering Study (FEED) was completed in Q4 2024.
  • The Banda field is expected to produce at a 90 mmcfd plateau rate over a 20-year period, via 2+1 subsea wells, tied back to an onshore gas plant.
  • The Tevet field, discovered in 2004, contains additional resources that can be tied into the Banda subsea production system if required to maintain or lift plateau.
  • Final Investment Decision (“FID”) is planned for Jan-26, which will kick off the 2.5-year Project execution phase, prior to the start of production by Q3 2028.
  • Go Gas has appointed ODE Asset Management as the Technical Operator for Project Banda.
  • Go Gas has appointed Beltone as the financial advisor for fundraising.
  • Mauritania’s national utility, SOMELEC, and the country’s state-owned mining company, SNIM, are acting as the off-takers.

Gaza Marine Development

  • The Gaza Marine 1 Tcf gas field, located in the economic waters of the Palestinian Authority via Egypt, is being developed by the Sponsors.
  • The state-owned EGAS had invited the Sponsors to participate in the development of the field, in cooperation with the current holders of the field license and the Palestinian Authority in 2021.
  • In October 2022, the Sponsors, EGAS, and the Concessionaires signed a Heads of Terms to jointly implement the required technical, engineering, and financing work for field development.
  • The GM Field is located approximately 40 km offshore the Gaza Strip in the Mediterranean Sea.
  • The Project will involve:
  • Drilling 6 subsea wells
  • Tying them back to an offshore Pipeline End Manifold (“PLEM”)
  • A 50 km multiphase subsea pipeline to transport the gas to be treated in Egypt and connected to the Egyptian National Grid
  • The total development cost, estimated by the pre-Front End Engineering Design (“FEED”), is USD 1.3 billion.
  • Activity has slowed down following the regional events of October 2023. However, due to the anticipated importance of the Project post-stabilization, the Parties continue to carry out further technical and commercial workto enhance readiness to resume activity on the Project.

East Med Gas

The Sponsors and EGAS have jointly agreed to explore deep water areas in the Levant Basin.

  • These areas are near prospective acreage in Egypt with a proven hydrocarbon system and commercial discoveries, making them well understood geologically by the Sponsors.
  • The exploration opportunities include:
    • An offshore exploration license covering three blocks with an area of 1,127 square kilometers.
    • This license is part of a periodic bid round and was expected to be awarded by Q2 2024.
    • The Sponsors hold a 50% stake in the license and will operate it.
    • Additionally, the Sponsors will acquire a 25% stake and become an operator in a license featuring a technical discovery and prospects.
  • This license has the potential to contain up to 11 TCF of gas reserves.
  • Negotiations with the current owners of the license have concluded, and the deal is expected to be finalized imminently.
