Eng. Cav. Khaled Abobakr elected President of the IGU 2028-2031

Egypt has secured a landmark victory, winning the IGU Presidency for the 2028-2031 term, with Eng. Cav. Khaled Abubakr, as President of the International Gas Union. Eng. Mohamed Fouad, Chairman of the National Organization Committee, while Eng. Karim Shaaban, Chairman of the Coordination Committee.
The Egyptian team will collaborate with the Italian presidency, serving as Vice President from 2025 to 2028. Together, they are committed to advancing the organization’s goals, sparing no effort to achieve the desired outcomes for the natural gas industry and the whole energy sector.
