Mohamed Ayad is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the natural gas industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Ayad started his career as a commercial analyst and negotiator with BG Group, where he was part of a team that successfully developed, constructed, and operated a natural gas processing, liquefaction, and loading facility with a capacity of 7 million tonnes per annum in the Egyptian port of Idku on the Mediterranean shore. This facility was the first of its kind in Egypt, and it went into operation in 2004.
Mr. Ayad continued his career with BG Group and moved to the company's headquarters in the United Kingdom to work on developing the company's exploration and production business in North Africa, the North Sea, and Central Asia. During his five-year tenure, Mr. Ayad played a critical role in the company's success in these regions, including expanding the company's business in Kazakhstan and the North Sea, and entering into exploration in Libya and Algeria.
After BG Group, Mr. Ayad worked with Centrica Plc, where he was involved in procuring LNG volumes for the Isle of Grain gasification terminal. He then joined Nexant Ltd., a reputable energy consultancy firm in London, as a consultant in global gas markets, where he worked with major European gas companies such as RWE, Wingas, and EON, analyzing market movements to maximize their sales and select promising markets to enter and expand.
Mr. Ayad subsequently joined Tullow Oil Plc at its headquarters in London as a commercial negotiator, where he worked on the operation, divestment, and decommissioning of the company's portfolio in the UKCS. Finally, before founding Go Gas Holding, Mr. Ayad spent four years at Energean in Cairo, working on developing gas markets in Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean.
