Dina Kamel - Commercial Manager
Dina Kamel is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in leading multinational corporations within the oil and gas sector. Throughout her career, Dina has held various in-country and regional leadership roles in Planning & Performance Management, Business Development, and Commercial Operations. Dina has a strong track record of utilizing her diverse skill set to drive change and lead transformations that eliminate inefficiencies in complex business situations. During her career, she has led negotiations and upheld a suite of commercial agreements for multi-billion-dollar deals while robustly managing relationships and obligations with key stakeholders, including Government and partners. Dina is recognized for her commitment and leadership skills in streamlining cross-functional teams for the formulation of a company's strategy, managing risks and opportunities, and optimizing value in challenging environments. She is also recognized for her passion for coaching and mentoring the team to foster a motivating working environment that inspires talent development.
Dina holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo. She began her career in 2004 as a Business Analyst in BG Group (formerly British Gas), focusing on the company's business plans and market analysis. Dina then joined BP, where she began a successful career holding various Business Manager roles across various assets in the Planning and Commercial teams. Here, she evaluated multiple projects to set recommendations for optimum investment decisions for various projects in line with the company's targets and revenue growth plans. She provided valuable insights to management to drive value and mitigate risks. In 2018, Dina held the role of North Africa Regional Planning & Performance Manager, where she launched new planning and performance management tools that were recognized as best-in-class for reducing cycle times and providing agile reporting tools, allowing for swift and efficient decision-making that fed into the company's group quarterly results.
In 2020, Dina held the role of Egypt Exploration Commercial Manager, where she led negotiations on acquiring exploration acreage based on in-depth commercial optimization analysis for commercial offers in bid rounds. Additionally, she has led farm-in/out deals to reduce exposure and leverage synergies with partners. Dina then moved to West Nile Delta Commercial Manager in 2021, where she upheld a complex suite of commercial agreements and navigated through various challenging commercial aspects.
