Dina Kamel - Commercial Manager
Dina Kamel is an experienced professional with 20 years experience in leading multinational corporations in the oil and gas sector. Dina held various in-country and regional leadership roles in Planning & Performance Management, Business Development and Commercial Operations. She has a strong track record of diverse skills utilized to drive change and lead transformation to eliminate inefficiencies in complex business situations. Dina has led negotiations and upheld a suite of commercial agreements for multi-billion-dollar deals while robustly managing relationships and obligations with key stakeholders including Government and partners. Dina is recognized for her commitment and leadership skills to streamline cross functional teams for formulation of the company’s strategy, manage risks and opportunities to optimize value in challenging environments. Dina is also recognized for her passion in coaching and mentoring the team to foster a motivating working environment that inspires talent development.
Dina holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the American University in Cairo. She began her career in 2004 as a Business Analyst in BG Group (formerly British Gas) focusing on the company’s business plans and market analysis. Dina then joined bp where she began a successful career holding various Business Manager roles across various assets in the Planning and Commercial teams where she evaluated multiple projects to set recommendations for optimum investment decisions for various projects in-line with the company’s targets and revenue growth plans. She provided valuable insights to management to drive value and mitigate risks. Dina then held the role of North Africa Regional Planning & Performance Manager in 2018 where she launched the new planning and performance management tools that was recognized as best-in-class for reducing cycle times and providing agile reporting tools which allowed for swift and efficient decision making that fed to the company’s group quarterly results.
Dina then held the role of Egypt Exploration Commercial Manager in 2020 where she led negotiations on acquiring exploration acreage based on in-depth commercial optimization analysis for the commercial offers in bid rounds. Dina has also led farm-in/out deals to reduce exposure and leverage synergies with partners. Dina then moved to West Nile Delta Commercial Manager in 2021 where she upheld a complex suite of commercial agreements and navigated through various challenging commercial aspects.
