David Wright - technical advisor
David Wright has 40 years of experience in engineering, construction and project management in the oil & gas industry. He has worked for engineering consultants, construction companies and upstream oil & gas operators.
Between 2001 and 2004, David worked for Burlington Resources in the UK as Offshore Facilities Manager responsible for delivery of offshore platforms, offshore / onshore pipelines in the East Irish Sea.
In 2004, David joined Tullow Oil as Project Manager and over a four year period was responsible for the delivery of Southern North Sea projects including new platforms, subsea tie-backs and brownfield modifications.
David joined Centrica in 2008 as Project Manager on gas storage projects and the York Field Development Project comprising gas production platform, pipelines and onshore terminal modifications.
After returning to Tullow Oil in 2011 as Project Manager, David managed projects in North and West Africa. He worked Cairn Energy / Capricorn Energy from 2016 to 2023 initially as Facilities Engineering Consultant on the Sangomar Project in Senegal, as Project Manager on a complex subsea tie-back project in the UK North Sea and as advisor onmultiple M&A projects..
In 2024, David joined Go Gas Holding to assist the company in negotiating the Banda & Tevet PSC and is now managing the project in the pre-sanction phases.
David has a bachelors degree in civil engineering and a masters degree in steel structures both from Imperial College, London. He is a chartered engineer and member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology, the Association for Project Management and the Society of Petroleum Engineers..
